I know that I had read this before, because it was highlighted in my Bible. But I have been having some feelings of defeat, in the past two days, and this was a huge encouragement from the Lord. I gave my testimony in Sunday School yesterday, and then I started back to my job this weekend. Having to stay with my parents, make arrangements for the girls, and getting less sleep is stressful. It is also stressful to talk with coworkers, who might night understand the stands that I take. There are also temptations at work that I don't have when I am sticking close to home and church. Please pray for me that I will be only dependant of the "everlasting compassion of The Lord my Redeemer."
Isaiah 54:4-8 (New International Version)
4 "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
4 "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
5 For your Maker is your husband—
5 For your Maker is your husband—
the LORD Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
6 The LORD will call you back
6 The LORD will call you back
as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,
only to be rejected," says your God.
7 "For a brief moment I abandoned you,
7 "For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.
8 In a surge of anger
8 In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,"
says the LORD your Redeemer.
