11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity."
I am constantly amazed at how God gives me just the right verses at just the right time. Again, part of this passage was the verse of the day for my blog today. I can't say enough about how great it is to use When I am fighting discouragement. Or when I am trying to give encouragement to another who is discouraged, these are great verses to use. Often, we see just verse 11, but verses 12-13 offer such great additional promises from the Lord. Not only does God have awesome plans for my future, but he will pray with me and listen to me if I call upon Him! And don't we all have something that we tend to be held captive to. God promises to bring us back from that captivity if we will seek Him. This is huge encouragement to continue to seek Him, during both times of adversity, or when storms begin to calm a bit.
