Again...hanging out at the pool...

Today was a very hot day in our town. We stayed cool by staying wet.

playing at the pool.....again

This summer has been like no other. I have brought the girls swimming, much like last year, but Brad's presence there makes it much different. Thankfully, though Brad's injury has made him unable to walk, it doesn't stop him from swimming. Getting to watch him spend this much time playing and swimming with the girls this year has been a blessing to this mom.

Don't tell Brad's doctor.....

Brad goes off the diving board, followed by Paige. Don't worry, Brad assures me that it doesn't hurt his foot to go off the board. Peyton will go off the board, but always seems to do so when I don't have the camera around!

What better way to spend a hot summer day?

Brad has been spending much of his recovery time
working out in the pool. Here, he takes a break to talk
to one of the lifeguards.

Jump, jump

Paige proud to go off the board without her mommy in to pool to "catch" her. Both girls decided to start going off the board today during their six hours at the pool! Paige doesn't show off her best "swimming to the side" form, but she is getting there by herself. Hopefully, tommorrow I can catch a jump of Peyton's on video.Posted by Picasa

balloon fun...

Gary, Stephanie, Elijah and Isaiah came over to have dinner with us tonight. One of the kids looked out and noticed that there were balloons in the air. We went outside and watched as six balloon made their way north of the lake. One of the balloons, shaped like tree landed in the yard of our neighbor to the west. Three of them landed in view of us, and one that went on farther north went directly over our heads. We have always enjoyed the balloons, but this was a fun night for the kids to run around the yard and watch the balloons.
